-3- <br /> E. Resignations, Terminations and Appointments. <br /> 1. Members of the Council who are unable to actively participate artici ate in <br /> the affairs of the Council shall submit their resignations in writing to the <br /> Council . Unexcused absences for three successive Council meetings shall be <br /> cause for termination of the member. Resident members who move from the <br /> designated Human Services Council geographical area may no longer serve on <br /> the Council . <br /> 2. Categorical members who cease to receive or provide services in <br /> the Human Services Council geographical area may no longer serve on the Council . <br /> 3. Interim replacements for vacant resident member positions shall <br /> be selected by the sponsoring district which the member had represented. <br /> Interim replacements for categorical positions shall be selected by the resi- <br /> dent members. <br /> 4. Interim members shall serve out the term of the person they <br /> • replace. <br /> Article IV. Officers and Executive Committee <br /> A. Officers of the Council shall be a Chairperson, a Vice Chairperson, <br /> a Secretary, and a Treasurer. They will serve one year terms and may be <br /> re-elected. They shall be elected by the Council at the first meeting of the <br /> Council and shall serve until new officers are elected. Subsequent elections <br /> shall occur at the annual meeting of the Council . <br /> B. Duties of the Officers. <br /> 1. The Chair shall prepare the agendas, send notice, convene and <br /> conduct meetings of the Human Services Council and of the Executive Committee <br /> and shall carry out such other duties as may be assigned or authorized by the <br /> Human Services Council , ,and shall serve as the contact person. <br /> • <br />
