.JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> MIDDLE MISSISSIPPI RIVER WATERSHED MANAGEMENT OIr2ANIZATION <br /> This Agreement entered into as of the date of execution by and among the <br /> f of l ow i ng: <br /> Citi as of <br /> Falcon Heights <br /> Lauderdale <br /> Minneapolis <br /> St. Anthony <br /> Saint Paul <br /> and the governmental unit of the <br /> Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board - <br /> and <br /> oard _and the governmental unit of the Regents of the <br /> University of Minnesota <br /> for the establishment of a watershed management organization. The aforementioned <br /> cities, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and the University of Minnesota <br /> shall hereinafter be referred to as Members. <br /> WHEREAS, the Members have authority pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section <br /> 471.59 to jointly or cooperatively by agreement exercise any powers common to the <br /> contracting bodies pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 473.877; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Members desire to prepare a surface water management program in <br /> accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Sections M.
