The City Manager had
24 included in the agenda packet copies of Section 430: 00 from the City' s
25 old Sign Ordinance from which he speculated Subdivision 5 defining
26 "shopping centers" might have been left out by accident when the new
27 ordinance was written.
28 At his suggestion, the Commissioners rewrote that section, substituting
29 "contiguous" for "continual" and "four" for "three" in the first line;
30 "18, 000" for 1110 ,000" in the second and recommended for clarification
31 that everything be deleted after "common patrons" in the 4th and 5th
.0lines.
Commissioner Madden cautioned against establishing a center size which
4 would be less than the total square footage for various types of
3.5 businesses carried on in the expanded Stonehouse on sale and liquor
36 warehouse and the barber shop in the fire station. Mr. Childs agreed
37 to have their suggestions, including the definition of "site" ,
38 reviewed by the City Attorney before the amended definition is given
39 to the Council.
