REZONING IN RAMSEY COUNTY% <br /> AT THE REQUEST OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL, THE PLANNING COMMISSION HAS REVIEWED <br /> THE ZONING IN BLOCK 12 AND BLOCK 11 , MOUNDSVIEW ACRES, SECOND ADDITION. PRIOR TO <br /> THE LAST ZONING CHANGE, WHICH WAS RECOMMENDED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND <br /> ADOPTED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL, MOST OF THE AREA UNDER CONSIOERATIO� ALL OF <br /> BLOCK 12 AND THE EASTERLY 200 FEET OF BLOCK 11 ) AND THE REMAINDER OF BLOCK 11 <br /> WAS ZONED FOR LIGHT INDUSTRIAL USES WHICH, AT THAT TIME, INCLUDED MULTIPLE DWELLINGS- <br /> EARLIER THIS YEAR THE VILLAGE COUNCIL ACCEPTED THE PLANNING COMMISSION'S RECOMMEN— <br /> DATIONS THATT. HE ZONING IN BLOCK 12 SHOULD CONTINUE TO BE SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL,; <br /> THAT THE EASTERLY 200 FEET OF BLOCK 11 BE CHANGED FROM SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL <br /> TWO FAMILY RESIDENTIAL, THAT THE SOUTHERLY 500 FEET BE CHANGED TO MULTIPLE <br /> DWELLING RESIDENTIAL AND THE REMAINDER OF BLOCK 11 CONTINUE AS LIGHT INDUSTRIAL <br /> 'WHICH, UNDER THE REVISED ZONING ORDINANCE,EXCLUDES ALL RESIDENTIAL USES INCLUDING <br /> :PJLiIPLE DWELLINGS. <br /> A NUMBER OF THE PROPERTY OWNERS IN THIS AREA HAVE CONTINUED TO ASK THAT THEIR <br /> ^RO?ERTY BE REZONED FROM SINGLE OR TWO FAMILY RESIDENTIAL USES TO MULTIPLE DWELLING <br /> OR LIGHT INDUSTRIAL USES. AFTER REVIEWING OUR PREVIOUS RECOMMENDATIONS CONCERNING <br /> THIS AREA WE NOW REAFFIRM THESE RECOMMENDATIONS. <br /> WE SHOULD LIKE TO REMIND THE VILLAGE COUNCIL THAT REZONING THE PORTIONS OF <br /> BLOCKS 11 AND 12 WHICH ARE NOW ZONED FOR SINGLE OR TWO FAMILY RESIDENTIAL USES <br /> TO MULTIPLE DWELLING OR LIGHT INDUSTRIAL USES WOULD MAKE ALL OF THE HOMES NOW <br /> LOCATED IN THIS AREA. INTO NON—CONFORMING USES SUBJECT TO THE RESTRICTIONS WHICH <br /> THE VILLAGE ZONING ORDINANCE IMPOSES UPON NON—CONFORMING USES. <br /> WHILE WE REAFFIRM OUR PREVIOUS RECOMMENDATIONS CONCERNING THIS AREA, WE <br /> RECOGNIZE THAT THE VILLAGE COUNCIL MAY WISH TO DISREGARD OUR RECOMMENDATIONS AND <br /> REZONE SOME OF THIS AREA, IF THIS IS THE CASE, AND IF ANY REZONING IS DONE IN <br /> THIS AREAS WE WOULD SUGGEST THAT SUCH REZONING TAKE THE FOLLOWING FORMa <br /> 1 . LOTS 7, 8, 9 AND 10 OF BLOCK 11 AND LOTS 11 , 12, 13 AND 14 OF BLOCK 12 <br /> REZONED TO MULTIPLE DWELLING RESIDENTIAL. <br /> 2. LOTS 1 THROUGH 6 IN BLOCK 11 AND LOTS 15 THROUGH 20 REZONED TO LIGHT <br /> INDUSTRIAL, BLOCK 12. <br /> 3 LOTS 5 THROUGH 10 IN BLOCK 12 REZONED TO TWO FAMILY RESIDENTIAL. <br /> • <br />
