ANTHOAY <br /> Planning Board Minutes <br /> June 15, 1964 <br /> • The meting was called to order by the Chairman. <br /> Present: Howitz, Emond, Springer, Englund, Mesenbring, <br /> Absent: Coulter, Rocks <br /> The minutes from the meting of Play 18th were read and approved with the <br /> following corrections: <br /> 1. Add - Corm ttee will review ordinances and report at next meting. <br /> The minutes of the special m—neting of May 25, 1964 were approved as read. <br /> The minutes of the meeting of June F, 1964 were react and approved with the <br /> fallowing corrections: <br /> 1. Change Skyerof t Circle to Skycroft ©rive and change Skycroft Drive to <br /> Skycroft Circle. <br /> 1. The Chairman announced that this was the tirre and -the place to hold a public <br /> hearing on the request o AA. M. Nordstrom Co. to rezone Block 10, Mounds View Acres <br /> Second Addition from single family residential to a combination of two family, <br /> residential and multiple dwelling. Walter Thuftedal presented the proposed <br /> construction plans and the proposed rezoning. <br /> • THe requested rezoning was that the H. 120' of Block 10 be rezoned to two-family <br /> residential and that part of Block 10 lying S. of the H. 1201 be rezoned to <br /> multiple duelling to permit construction of 34 units of apartarents. After hearing <br /> all the comatrnts from the floor, the hearing was closed. <br /> Moved by Springer, seconded by Mesenbring to givva tentative approval to the <br /> proposed rezoning and request that A. M. Nordstrom Co. submit a more definite <br /> plan as to the location of the proposed buildings before final rezoning be <br /> accomplished. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 2. The Chairman announced that this was the time and the place to Fold a public <br /> hearing on the request of Chet Herringer to rezone the E. 1101 of lots 1, 2 E 3 <br /> and the W-2 of lot 4, 81ock 2, Soo l.ineAddition fror;: two-f ami I resi dent ial Co <br /> comercial for the purpose of constructing a supe~ette dairy store on this property. <br /> Mr. Herringer stated that construction of said dairy store would be contingent <br /> upon construction of five double bungalows along 37th Ave. between Edward St. and <br /> Roosevelt St. NE. After hearing all the cements from the floor, the nearing was <br /> declared closed. <br /> Moved by Springer, seconded by Englund to deny the requested rezoning for the <br /> following reasons: <br /> a. The proposed development would create a serious traffic hazard in this <br /> residential area. <br /> b'. Pio hardship exists on the property owners for developmnt of this residential <br /> property.: <br /> C., There are a number of other possible developments which wtould be allowed in <br /> this area. <br />
