Mr. William Kelly of the Tonle Corpany appeared with a request for rezoning <br /> of vacant property between the Ami rican Leggion Hail and the Firestone Garage on <br /> Kenzie Terrace from single family residential to com-marcial . Mr. Kelly stated <br /> that there were no definite plans for the type of developrent that tt:ould go in <br /> this area. <br /> Moved by Springer, seconded by Englund to hold a public hearing on the requested <br /> rezoning on ,July 20, 1964. It is suggested that Mr. Kelly bring in a de•tinit:e <br /> proposal for development of this area. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 4. Mahlon Sandberg presented the proposed plans for the expansion of the <br /> Nativity Lutheran Church at 3312 Silver Lake Road. After examining plans, <br /> it was moved by Mesenbring, seconded by Springer to approve the plans as presented <br /> with a recommendation that the Council consider vacation of the portion of Belden <br /> Drive that lies adjacent to the church property. Also, that a screening and <br /> planting layout to screen the proposed parking lots from adjoining residential <br /> property by e;;amined and approved by the St. Anthony Village Park Consultants. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 5. William Schaefer, architect, presented proposed plans for construction of <br /> the Elr€raood Lutheran Church at 36th Ave. NE and Chelmsford Road. <br /> • Moved by Springer, seconded by Ennand to table action until a Meting can be <br /> arranged with the adjoining property owners to determine what future streets <br /> may be needed to develop - the undeveloped area adjoining the church property. <br /> The secretary is to arrange a meeting with said property owners and the Planning <br /> Board as soon as possible. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 6. Sheldon Plortenson appeared with a revised plan for construction of 54 units <br /> of apartments on Foss ;?oad North of 37th Ave. HE. Due to the inability to obtain <br /> additional property, Mr. Mortenson is forced to abandon his original proposal of <br /> 3 buildings and submit a revised plan with only two buildings in order to meet <br /> the St.Anthony Village -Ordinance ,#66 land area requirements. <br /> Moved by Englund, seconded by Emond to recond that the Council grant <br /> Mr. Mor t enson an area requirement wai ver to permit construction of 3 separate <br /> free standing buildings. I t-the Council refuses to grant the area waiver, it is <br /> recomnended by the Planning Board that they approve the revised plan showing only <br /> two buildings with a total of 54 units. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 7. Mrs. Chester Nelson presented a proposed division of the property described <br /> as lots 5 & 6, Block 6, Mounds !lieu Acres Second Addition. All the resultant <br /> parcels were well within the minimum requirements of Ordinance ;x`62. <br /> • Moved by Springer, seconded by Erond to approve the proposed division. All in <br /> favor. Motion carried. <br />
