Payne of the Minneapolis Star and Tribune presented a request: for <br /> surfacing the area around the paper distribution station on 33rd Ave. PIE with <br /> crushed rock in place of the formerly specified blacktop. <br /> Moved by Errond, seconded by Mesenbring to reaffirm the Planning Board's <br /> reco=x- ndation of Noveraber 18th, 1963 and require that the area be surfaced with <br /> blacktop as originally specified. All in favor. notion carried. <br /> 10. The Bc.rrd examined the proposal by the Diatrond 118" Apartments on 3;:h Ave. INE <br /> and Piacalaster Drive to vacate a portion of a 401 sewar easement along the Soo Line <br /> Railway and across the Diamond 138" property. The Planning Board recd nds that <br /> the Council refer this proposal to the Village Engineer and Attorney for study. <br /> The Boards sees no reason why this proposal should not be granted if it does not: <br /> • interfere with existing sewer line c ftkhin this easetment. <br /> ll. The Board discussed the preperaticn of a plan to be used for the purpose of <br /> rezoning t1ha Lemke property from comemrcial to single family residential. The <br /> WeRbe{rs feel that: they are not qualified to prepare a proposed layout e; residen-ial <br /> streets and lots for this area. <br /> Moved by Emend, seconded by Springer to recd. nd that the Council refer this <br /> plan to the Engineers for study and that, the Engineers submit to the Planning Board <br /> 3 alternate pians for examination.
