VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> April 20, 1965 <br /> 1 . CALL TO ORDER <br /> • The regular meeting of the St. Anthony Village Planning Board was <br /> called to order by Chairman Coulter, on Tuesday, April 20, 1965. <br /> 2. ROLL CALL <br /> The following members were present at roll call . <br /> Thomas Coulter <br /> Peter DiCarlo <br /> Thomas Emond <br /> Curtis Englund <br /> Louis Howitz <br /> Robert Mesenbring <br /> Clement Springer <br /> Also, present were tthe Planning Board Secretary, Building Inspector and <br /> Village Manager. <br /> 3. MINUTES <br /> Upon motion by Howitz, seconded by Mesenbring, it was moved to approve <br /> the minutes of the regular meeting of March 16, 1965 and the special <br /> meeting of April 6, 1965, as read. <br /> • The motion carried unanimously. <br /> 4. PUBLI C HEARI NGS <br /> Chairman Coulter announced that the adjourned hearing on the rezoning <br /> proposal of( la) Walbon, was reopened. The request was for rezoning of <br /> the property at the Southwest corner of 33rd Ave. NE and Old Highway 3 <br /> from R-1 to R-2 over the Northerly 145 feet and Light Industrial over <br /> the remainder of the property. <br /> After hearing all the comments from the floor, the hearing was declared <br /> closed by Chairman Coulter. <br /> Upon motion by Englund, seconded by Springer, it was moved to defer action <br /> until revised proposal is submitted. <br /> The motion was withdrawn. <br /> Upon motion by Howitz, seconded by Englund, it was moved to recommend <br /> that the Council deny the requested rezoning from R-1 to R-2 and Light <br /> Industrial on the following basis- <br /> a. The requested Light Industrial zoning would not be compatible <br /> with the surrounding land development. <br /> b. The residents in the immediate area were opposed to zoning other <br /> than residential in this primarily residential area. <br />
