Old Business <br /> Upon motion by Miedtke, seconded by Katterheinrich, it was moved to table <br /> Mr. Tousley 's Car Wash sign, due to lack of complete information and Mr. Tousley '� <br /> absence. <br /> The motion carried unanimously. <br /> 8. Building Permits <br /> (A) Upon request of Mr. Bolstad of Elmwood Lutheran Church, the board <br /> discussed his request for three 22" X 30" double faced metal directional signs <br /> located on Village right of way properties at the intersections of 37th Avenue <br /> and Chelmsford Road, Silver Lake Road and Stinson Boulevard. <br /> Chairman Howitz tabled the request to give the Building Inspector an oppor- <br /> tunity to measure simular existing signs to compare sizes and an. opportunity to <br /> check with Mr. Bolstad on the effect these signs will have on adjoining property <br /> c-onors. <br /> • <br /> (Q) Upon request of Mr. Horton Connett, the Board discussed his request for <br /> permission to temporarily use the small office on Stinson Boulevard between 33rd <br /> and 34th Avenues as a construction office, and for permission to erect a variety <br /> of signs at undiscloseds- locations. <br /> Upon motion by Katterheinrich, seconded by Kronk, it was moved to recommend <br /> to the Council to approve Mr. Connett 's request for temporary use of the building <br /> for 24 months or less, provided Mr. Connett moderately redecorate the appearance <br /> of said office. It was further moved to recommend the Council deny Mr. Connett 's <br /> request for signs until the type, number, and location of signs be specifically <br /> defined and then be resubmitted. <br /> The Motion carried unanimously. <br /> (C) James Shaughnessy, Board Secre�sry, present preliminary plot and floor <br /> plans for a proposed 6700 sq. ft. Firestone Sales and Service Center on Stinson <br /> Boulevard at 39th Avenue. <br /> The Board discussed the proposal and awaits further correspondence. <br /> 9. Miscellaneous <br /> (A) The Planning Board urges the Council to give its earliest consideration <br /> to the proposed sign ordinance. <br /> • (B) Mr. Walburg resubmitted a proposed plat of lots 7 and 8, Blk. 6, Mounds <br /> View Acres 2nd Addition (two 115.66 X 269 ft. lots ) into four 72.5 X 134.5 and <br /> two 86 X 134.5 foot lots. This preliminary plat was previously approved May 18, <br /> 1965 and October 15, 1962 for Gust Friedland, who is still the owner.
