• VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> PLANNING BOARD MINUTES <br /> April 19, 1966 <br /> 1 . Call to Order <br /> The regular meeting of the St. Anthony Village Planning Board was called to <br /> order by Chairman Louis, Howitz at 7:30 P.M, on Tuesday April 19°; 1966. <br /> 2. The following members were present at .roll call : <br /> Louis Howitz, Robert Mesenbring, Curtis Englund, Dr. Thomas Emond, Fred <br /> Katterheinrich, Donald Kronk,' Dwaine Miedtke. <br /> Absent: <br /> None <br /> Also present was the Planning Board .Secretary, James Shaughnessy. <br /> 3. Minutes <br /> The minutes of the regular meeting of March 15, 1966 were read by the <br /> Secretary and approved as submitted. <br /> 4. (A) The Chairman Howitz announced that this was the time and place to hold <br /> a public hearing on request of the Village Council to consider a change in <br /> zoning from commercial to two family on the following properties: <br /> Northern States Power at 2417 - 33rd Ave. N.E. <br /> Mrs. Amerman at 3309 Stinson Blvd. <br /> Mr. Horton Connett-16' fragment of land between abovi prop. <br /> N-. Frank Fudali, representing Mrs. Amerman, claims the Amerman property <br /> should remain commercial for the following reasons: <br /> 1 . High traffic counts on Stinson Blvd. <br /> 2. Majority of neighbors in favor of the corner being left <br /> commercial as indicated ,by a Petition Mr. Fudali claims <br /> to possess. <br /> 3. Planning Board & Council reviewed the zoning of this <br /> property on past occasions and always left it ccmmarcial . <br /> 4. Reduction in value if rezoned <br /> 5. Mrs. Amerman is paying taxes on a commercial valuation. <br /> 6. 100 ft. of property already committed by a purchase. <br /> agreement to Clark Oil Co. for $40,000 <br /> Mr. Fudali further felt the courts would support their request. <br /> Mr. Gary Welk, representing Northern States Power, said date when N.S.P. <br /> would relocate its facilities from this site is not as definite as .first <br /> appeared and may be yet a year away. Mr. Welk made no commitment on N.S..P's <br /> feelings toward the rezoning. <br /> Mr. Horton Connett displayed his approval towards rezoning the entire <br /> property R-2. <br />
