CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> PLAN14ING COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> May 18 , 1982 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jones at 8 :05 P .M. The <br /> meetingwas delayed until after the City polls were closed. <br /> Present for roll call : Zawislak , Bowerman, Makowske , Jones , <br /> Bjorklund .and .Peterson. <br /> Absent: Sopcinski. <br /> Also present: Ron Berg, Administrative Assistant. <br /> Motion by Mr. Peterson and seconded by Mr. Bjorklund to approve as <br /> submitted the minutes for the Planning Commission meeting held <br /> April 20 , 1982 . <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The Chairman will represent the Commission at the Council meeting <br /> May 25th. <br /> At 8':08 the Chairman opened the public hearing to consider a petition <br /> fora seven foot frontyard setback variance to the City Zoning <br /> • Ordinance requirements which .would permit Orville PR.. Thompson to <br /> construct a garage addition to the front of his home at 3302 Belden <br /> Drive, which would be 23 feet fromthe lot line. <br /> Mr. Berg confirmed the application- fee- had been paid and as required <br /> by ordinance ,. notification has. been sent to all property owners of <br /> record within 200 feet of the property in question . <br /> Two of the neighbors were present to sit in on the discussion but <br /> indicated they did not intend to oppose their neighbor's request. <br /> The appli.cant, however, did not appear and the Chairman indicated <br /> he did not believe the Commission should act on the request without <br /> his input. <br /> Motion .by Mr. Bjorklund and -seconded by Mrs . Makowske to table action <br /> on the variance application for: Lot 13 , Block 1, Belden Terrace <br /> 2nd- Addition until staff places its consideration on a future agenda. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> At 8: 15 P.M. , the public hearing on- the proposed- Ordinance Amendment <br /> and Conditional Use Permit which will be required to allow the tanning <br /> salon proposed by Keith Grewe to operate in the -Apache Plaza Shopping <br /> Center. <br /> In his May 10th memorandum, Mr. Berg reported the data. he had been <br /> able to gather about .this new concept in services .
