- -3- <br /> • Motion by Commissioner Jones and seconded by Commissioner Bjorklund <br /> to recommend that the City Council not grant cigarette licenses to <br /> any establishments that allow the opportunity for unsupervised <br /> minors to buy cigarettes . It was discussed that more careful review <br /> at license renewal time regarding cigarette machine location would <br /> handle the problem. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> The Planning Commission then began a 20-30 minute brainstorming <br /> session with respect to a six year Capital Improvement program, in- <br /> cluding discussions about streets ;. sewers; water lines, reservoirs <br /> and contamination; City Hall , liquor store and .Fire Department build- <br /> ings (locations) andequipment; parks and -park facilities;. as well <br /> as possible coordination with long-range planning at the school. <br /> Discussion also touched on undergrounding electric .and other utilities <br /> and numerous other areas . <br /> The City Manager will bring back preliminary proposals in several of <br /> the areas discussed' at the .next meeting. <br /> The Commission also discussed .the Marketing Committee report as an <br /> informational item and commented that .the identification as "St. Anthony <br /> Village" seems to be acceptable to the majority of residents. <br /> • Motion was made and unanimously approved to adjourn the meeting at <br /> 9 : 45 P.M. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> David Childs , City Manager <br />
