No final agreements had been signed with <br /> 17 the prospective buyer for Lot 9 who had sent away for a house pl�an,"_ th_e contractor <br /> 18 said and Mr. Childs indicated he would be. consulting the City Attorney to see what <br /> 19 the City could do to expedite matters so the Kramer house could be started before <br /> 20 winter sets in. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 Motion by Commissioner Bowerman and seconded by Commissioner Bjorklund to indicate <br /> 23 to the Council that the Commission is in agreement with the concept of transferring <br /> 24 two feet of land from Lot 9 in the Johnson proje- ct 'to Lot 8 being cognizant that <br /> 25 the Council would have to take any serious objections to the split, which might <br /> 26 be raised at the public hearing, into consideration before approving it. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 In accepting this concept, the Commission finds that: (1 ) the proposed lot <br /> 29 split would result in lots of more equal, size in the project.; ,(2) the change would <br /> 30 only bea minor one; and, (3)- by permitting the lot split, the City would be <br /> 31 expediting the redevelopment of this tornado damaged addition. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Commissioners Hansen and Madden indicated an interest in attending the Annual <br /> 36 Planning Institute for Planning Commissioners and elected officials November 22nd <br /> 37 and the Chair Pro Tem' said Chair Franzese had told him.she might also be interested- <br /> 38 in going to another institute having found the first one so informative. The <br /> 39 Manager said there was also an advanced institute planned for next spring and <br /> 40 invited the Commissioners to let him know if they wanted him to make reservations <br /> 41 for the fall seminar. <br /> 42 <br /> 43 There was a short discussion of the progress being made on numerous building pro- <br /> 44 jects throughout the City, including the Chandler Place apartments which, Mr. <br /> 45 Childs said, would hopefully start November lst. ' He also reported the Commissioners <br /> 46 would be considering at their November meeting the zoning- changes necessary for <br /> 47 Bernard •Blanske to construct townhomes on the corner of Silver Lake Road and <br /> 48 Silver Lane. <br /> 49 <br /> 50 The Chair Pro Tem reported the Legion had signed papers transferring their building <br /> 51 to the Kenzington developers and Mr. Childs speculated that the meeting the Council <br /> • 52 had scheduled with Arkand and META might shed light on their intentions about the <br /> 53 use of that property. <br /> 54 <br /> 55 Motion by Commissioner Bowerman and seconded by Chair Pro Tem Hansen to adjourn the <br /> 56 meeting at 8:59 P.M. <br /> 57 Motion carried unanimously.
