When Mr. Mikkelson stated his brother <br /> • 2 had- been paying taxes, including delinquent taxes, on the land and wondered what <br /> 3 he was getting back for those taxes, Commissioner Bjorklund suggested he might <br /> 4 be able to sell seasonal products from the lot, including Christmas trees and <br /> 5 pumpkins. <br /> 6 <br /> 7 The Manager answered a question about fences by saying Mr. Mikkelson could <br /> 8 conceivably fence in the whole back yard for storage space as long as the fence <br /> 9 did not exceed six feet in height. However, Mr. Childs said hi:s main suggestion <br /> 10 would be that the property owner meet with the assessors to assure he was paying <br /> 11 only a minimum of taxes for land which could not be developed because of its <br /> 12 size, using a copy of the Commission minutes to prove that point if he wished. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Before adjournment, the Manager explained he had been forced to "load up" this <br /> 15 agenda because there were so many proposals, including the changes in the Kenzie <br /> 16 Terrace Redevelopment project, which the Commission would have to address at their <br /> 17 December 2nd meeting.
