CALL TO ORDER/PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br /> 5 The meeting was called to order and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Chair Bergstrom at <br /> 6 7:00 P.M. <br /> 7 H. ROLL CALL. <br /> 8 Commissioners present: Chair Bergstrom; Commissioners Franzese, Gondorchin, Horst, <br /> 9 Makowske, and Thompson. <br /> 10 Commissioners absent: Commissioner Delmonico. <br /> 11 Also present: Kim Moore-Sykes, Management Assistant. <br /> 12 III. APPROVAL OF DECEMBER 16, 1997 PLANNING COMMISSION AGENDA. <br /> 13 Motion by Commissioner Makowske, seconded by Commissioner Horst, to approve the <br /> 14 Planning Commission Agenda for December 16, 1997 with the following change: <br /> 15 Delete VI. Public Hearing, 1. Sign Variance - Valvoline Instant Oil Change: Petitioner asked <br /> 16 that this request be withdrawn. <br /> �7 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 18 IV. APPROVAL OF THE NOVEMBER 18, 1997 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> 19 MINUTES. <br /> 20 Motion by Commissioner Thompson, seconded by Chair Bergstrom, to approve the November <br /> 21 18, 1997 Planning Commission Meeting minutes as presented. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 24 V. DESIGNATE PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE FOR JANUARY 13, <br /> 25 1998 COUNCIL MEETING. <br /> 26 Commissioner Franzese was appointed as the Planning Commission representative for the <br /> 27 Tuesday, January 13, 1997, City Council meeting. She asked that an alternate be named in <br /> 28 the event she is unable to attend. Commissioner Delmonico was named as her alternate. <br /> 29 VI. PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br /> 30 1. Sign Variance Request - Valvoline Instant Oil Change. <br /> 31 This item was withdrawn per the request of the applicant. <br /> 32 2. Rezoning Request - 3261 Old Highway 8 - Mendota Homes. <br /> 33 Chair Bergstrom opened the public hearing at 7: 03 P.M. <br /> -4 Ms. Moore-Sykes reported that City Staff received a request from Erin Mathern of Mendota <br /> 10 Homes, Inc., to rezone a vacant parcel located at 3261 Old Highway 8, and described as Lot <br /> 36 1, Block 1, Medtronics First Addition, City of St. Anthony, Hennepin County, State of <br />
