Planning Commission Regular Meeting Minutes
• January 20, 1998
Page 12
1 Makowske reported a meeting was held last Thursday with Senator Marty, a representative of
2 Senator Bruce Vento's office, Mary Jo McGuire and Mark Stenglein. H he stated he was unable
3 to attend that meeting.
4 Makowske noted WSB's recommendations also include the construction of storm drainage
5 improvements at a cost of$5.7 million. This should equip most homes to be resistant to a 100
6 year event. Makowske noted that the July 1, 1997 event surpassed a 100-year event so this
7 would not be a guarantee but should adequately protect the residents.
8 X.
