Planning Commission Action <br /> 5 Commissioner Jerry Faust was in attendance representing the Planning <br /> 6 Commission. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 VanderHeyden noted that at the Planning Commission's last meeting there <br /> 9 was public hearing. That public hearing was held to discuss a request <br /> 10 from Nedegaard Construction regarding a sign variance request for the <br /> 11 Evergreen Townhomes project. The request was tabled and therefore was <br /> 12 not on the Council agenda. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 1 . Request to Change Street Address <br /> 15 A petition dated August 28, 1990 was received by the Planning Commission <br /> 16 and the Council requesting street address changes for the following <br /> 17 addresses in Fosston Townhouses: <br /> 18 From 3501 37th Avenue Northeast to 3501 Foss Road <br /> 19 From 3503 37th Avenue Northeast to 3503 Foss Road <br /> 20 From 3505 37th Avenue Northeast to 3505 Foss Road <br /> 21 From 3507 37th Avenue Northeast to 3507 Foss Road <br /> 22 <br /> 23 The members of the Planning Commission unanimously recommended that the <br /> • 24 Council approve the request for these address changes. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Councilmember Enrooth inquired if these changes would result in any <br /> 27 direct costs to the City. VanderHeyden responded that only staff time <br /> 28 would incur some costs. She noted that no precedent in this type of <br /> 29 request existed and so no actual costs could be determined. Councilmember <br /> 30 Marks recalled that this type of request had been granted twice in the <br /> 31 past but this was before VanderHeyden and the present City Manager were <br /> 32 employed by the City. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 Motion by Marks, second by Makowske to approve the street address change <br /> 35 as recommended by the Plan..ing Commission and as detailed in the minutes <br /> 36 of the September 18, 1990 Planning Commission meeting. <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 39 <br /> 40 C. Fire Utility Truck Bid <br /> 41 Fire Chief Johnson introduced Rod Miller, a newly-hired firefighter and <br /> 42 Jay Olson, who was promoted to rank of Captain in the Fire Department. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Chief Johnson advised the Council that two bids for the fire usility._t.r-uck._.._ <br /> 45 had been received. The low bid is from Road Rescue in the amount of $69, 154. <br /> 46 He noted that this item had been budgeted for in the 1989 and 1990 budgets. <br /> 47 The low bid is approximately $3.000 more than was budgeted. Also, the <br /> 48 bid received from Conway did not meet the bid specifications as the truck <br /> • 49 was too tall to pass under the door of the fire department, the proposed <br /> 50 location of the heater was incorrect and the compartment doors did not <br />
