Regular Council Meeting <br /> August 14, -1990 <br /> Page 9 <br /> 1 Mayor Ranallo is hosting a party for Village Fest volunteers at his <br /> 2 home on August 17th. He requested this gathering be posted as an <br /> 3 official meeting as most of the Councilmembers will be in attendance. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 The Mayor will be meeting with the Mayor of Columbia Heights on Monday, <br /> 6 August 20th to discuss signage on Stinson Boulevard. He noted he has <br /> 7 received one call regarding a stop sign on 37th Avenue and Stinson <br /> 8 Boulevard. <br /> 9 - <br /> 10 Councilmember Makowske advised she has received five calls from <br /> 11 residents regarding Silver Lake Road. She responded to the callers <br /> 12 that there are no plans to widen Silver .Lake Road south of 37th <br /> 13 Avenue and that this had been discussed a month earlier. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 City Manager' s Report <br /> . 16 <br /> 17 The City Manager has received a request from a business person who <br /> 18 is interested in putting in a 50's style restaurant in Apache Shopping <br /> 19 Center which will also have amusement devices in it. He requested members <br /> 20 of the Council to contact him with their opinions and any direction <br /> 21 they may have. <br /> 22 <br /> �3 Recycling Drop Off Center <br /> 24 Motion by Makowske, second by Marks to authorize that the City enter <br /> 25 into a contract with Super Cycle for pick up of recyclables at the <br /> • `26 St. Anthony recycing drop off center. <br /> 27 <br /> 28 This service can start on September 1st. <br /> 29 <br /> • 30 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 31 <br /> 32 7. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> 33 <br /> 34 There were no public hearings. <br /> 35 8. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 36 <br /> 37 <br /> 38 A. Proposed Election Judge List for Primary Election <br /> 39 A revised list of proposed election judges was distributed to the <br /> 40 Councilmembers. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Motion by Marks, second by Ranallo to approve the list of election <br /> 43 judges for the State Primary Election as presented by the City Clerk. <br /> 44 <br /> 4S Motion carried unanimously <br /> 46 <br /> 47 B. Award of Bid for Concrete Road Replacement <br /> 48 The City Manager -stated he was disappointed with the few bid responses <br /> 49 received. <br /> 50 <br />
