A Ramsey County League of Local Government meeting is scheduled <br /> 5 for August 29th at 7:30 p.m. in the Roseville City Hall . The topic <br /> 6 for discussion at the meeting will be the Home Rule Charter. <br /> 7 <br /> 8 9. National League of Cities Annual Conference <br /> 9 The NLC's Annual Conference is scheduled for December 1 - 5 in Texas. <br /> 10 No one on the Council indicated an interest in attending. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 10. Amusement Devices in Apache Plaza Restaurant <br /> 13 The City Manager will be contacting members of the City Council <br /> 14 regarding some changes which may be made for a 50' s style restaurant <br /> 15 in Apache Plaza and some amusement devices which were being considered. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 11 . Police Report Fees <br /> 18 A memo from Police Chief Engstrom was received by the City Manager <br /> 19 regarding police report fees. The memo contained the results of <br /> 20 a survey of area police departments and the fees charged for reports <br /> 21 by those departments. It was noted that 95% of the reports are being <br /> Y2 requested for insurance purposes and these fees are reimbursable. <br /> 23 <br /> Y4 A draft of a form for requesting police report forms was included in <br /> 25 the material regarding report fees. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Councilmember Makowske advised she had received a call from a resident <br /> 28 who questioned the charge. He felt this charge was not justified. She <br /> 29 was not aware that this was a reimbursable cost at the time she took <br /> 30 the call . <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Councilmember Enrooth referred the Council to the last paragraph of <br /> 33 the Chief' s memo which addressed requests from "for profit" agencies <br /> 34 for their professional use. It was noted that these requests could <br /> 35 translate into very costly and time consuming endeavors. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 12. Recycling Bins <br /> 38 The Assistant to the City Manager advised that the school district <br /> 39 has requested 85 recycling bins. She inquired if the Council wished <br /> 40 for these bins to be sold to the school district or should be they <br /> 41 be given free of charge. It was the consensus of the Council that <br /> 4 2 the school district should receive the bins free of charge. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 The Council was advised there is an 800 bin inventory remaining. The <br /> 4r, Mayor inquired how the efforts are coming to make a lid which will <br /> 46 fit the bins and will stay on. The Assistant to the City Manager <br /> 47 advised this is still beino worked on. <br /> 48 <br /> 49 A flyer for the Fall Clean Up Day was distributed to the Councilmembers. <br /> 50 The day is on Saturday, September l5th from 9:00 a.m. until 1 :00 p.m. <br />
