Donation from Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce <br /> 9 The City Manager advised that a $4,000 donation has been received <br /> C from the Lions Club and the Chamber of Commerce for playground <br /> 7 equipment at Emerald Park. It was his observation that this donation <br /> 8 _ will complete the park. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Mayor Ranallo advised that Lee Graczyk from the State' s Charitable <br /> 11 Gambling Control Board will be the guest speaker at the Chamber of <br /> 12 Commerce meeting on September 18th. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 7. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> 15 <br /> 16 There were no public hearings. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 8. NEW BUSINESS <br /> 19 <br /> 20 A. Resolution No. 90-013; Setting Proposed 1991 Tax Levy and Public <br /> 21 Hearing Dates for the Budget <br /> 22 Motion by Makowske, second by Enrooth to approve Resolution No. 90- <br /> 23 013. <br /> 24 <br /> �5 The hearing date for the 1991 proposed budget was set for November <br /> 26 27, 1990 at 7:30 p.m. and if necessary it will be reconvened on <br /> 27 November 28, 1990. <br /> 28 <br /> �9 Motion carried unanimously <br /> 30 <br /> 31 B. Sections 100 and 200 of the Proposed Recodified City Ordinances <br /> 32 The City Attorney noted he has reviewed the proposed changes to the <br /> 33 City ordinaces. No Council action was required at this time. <br /> 34 <br /> 35 Mayor Ranallo inquired if this would be a convenient time to consider <br /> 36 changing the starting time of Council meetings. He has suggested <br /> 37 previously the starting time be set for 7 :00 p.m. . <br /> 38 <br /> 39 One concern expressed for a time change was consideration of the school <br /> 40 calendar which is already printed. <br /> 41 <br /> 42 This item will be discussed at the September 4th Council work session <br /> 43 if there is time. The budget will be the main topic for discussion at <br /> 44 this particular work session. <br /> J41 <br /> 46 The City Manager advised that the Finance Director will be attending <br /> J47 the October Council work session to discuss the referendum. <br /> 48 <br /> 49 Councilmember Makowske felt the Council 's position should be made <br /> 50 very clear to the School Board members that no one as a representative <br />
