ANTHONY <br /> 2 PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> 3 <br /> 4 OCTOBER 16, 1990 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 The meeting wascalled to order at 7:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance <br /> 7 led by Chairman Madden. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 ROLL CALL <br /> 10 <br /> 11 Present: Faust, Murphy, Hansen, Madden, Brownell, Werenicz <br /> 12 Absent: Franzese <br /> 13 <br /> 14 Also present: Susan VanderHeyden, Assistant to the City Manager <br /> 15 <br /> 16 SEPTEMBER 18, 1990 PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Page 1, line 44: delete "Motion carried unanimously." <br /> 19 Motion by Brownell, second by Hansen to approve the minutes of the <br /> 20 September 18, 1990 Planning Commission minutes. <br /> • 21 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 <br /> 24 COMMISSIONER FAUST TO REPRESENT PLANNING COMMISSION AT <br /> 25 OCTOBER 23, 1990 CITY COUNCIL MEETING. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Commissioner Faust will attend the neat Council meeting. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br /> 30 <br /> 31 FORREST AND MARTY HARSTAD-FOR REZONING REQUEST <br /> 32 <br /> 33 The hearing was opened at 7:35 with no one present reporting failure to <br /> 34 receive the notice of hearing or objecting to its content. <br /> 35 <br /> 36 Assistant to the City Manager VanderHeyden reported the area is zoned for <br /> 37 light industrial. The lot has R-3 zoned property and Light Industrial. The <br /> 38 only phone call staff received was from a woman hoping to have some type <br /> 39 of townhome put in that area. Proposal is to put two buildings with eight <br /> 40 townhomes each. If rezoning is approved,. Harstad will have to come back <br /> 41 with the full detail plan. Right now just to consider rezoning. Staff feels it is <br /> • 42 a reasonable request. <br /> 43 <br /> 44 Commissioner Murphy asked if any type of a needs analysis had been done <br /> 45 and how this type of decision would effect the tag base. <br />
