Insurance Survey <br /> 8 <br /> 9 The City Manager reminded members of the Council of the <br /> 10 need to turn in their insurance survey. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 2 . Goalsettina Session <br /> 13 <br /> 14 March 19th and March 20th are the dates selected for the <br /> 15 Council ' s Goalsetting Session . It will be held at the <br /> 16 Northland Inn. Karen Ray will be the Facilitator . <br /> 17 <br /> 18 3 . Appreciation Dinner <br /> 19 <br /> 20 The City Manager noted he had contacted the speaker <br /> 21 recommended by Councilmember Fleming. The honorarium fee <br /> 22 was very expensive . <br /> 23 <br /> 24 The Mayor recalled that Mary Jo Palerento had been the <br /> 25 guest speaker at the last Chamber of Commerce Dinner. <br /> 26 Some members of the Council felt this was too recent and • <br /> 27 some did not feel she was effective . Councilmember Marks <br /> 28 had suggested Bob Terry. The' City Manager will continue <br /> 29 to look for a speaker for the Appreciation Dinner . <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 4 . Sian Ordinance - Amortization <br /> 33 <br /> 34 The City Manager advised that the Planning Commission had <br /> 35 requested this item be reviewed and then discussed it as <br /> 36 a concept . <br /> 37 <br /> 38 The City Attorney had written in his opinion of <br /> 39 amortization it would be difficult to justify as the <br /> 40 enforcement would begin in ten years ; that is 2003 . <br /> 41 <br /> 42 Councilmember Marks observed that signs which do not get <br /> 43 taken down usually need maintenance. The City Manager <br /> 44 noted that the City Code does address maintenance . <br /> 45 <br /> 46 The Mayor stated he does not want to bind future councils <br /> 47 with legislation . Councilmember Enrooth felt this item <br /> 48 was on the agenda only because members of the Planning <br /> 49 Commission have voted to support it . <br /> 50 <br /> • <br />
