Motion by Marks and seconded by Enrooth to open <br /> 14 the public hearing. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Mark Anderson and Bob Roberts, representing the engineering <br /> 19 firm Rieke Carroll Muller and Associates, were present at <br /> 20 the meeting. Mr. Anderson gave a presentation of the 1994 <br /> 21 street xP <br /> improvements . He explained the project would consist <br /> P <br /> 22 of street reconstruction and replacement of water main and <br /> 23 storm sewer lines on 32nd Avenue N.E. from Rankin Road to • <br /> 24 Silver Lake Road and on Hilldale Avenue N.E. from Rankin <br /> 25 Road to Silver Lake Road. The project also consists of a <br /> 26 bituminous overlay over the existing pavement on Croft Drive <br /> 27 from 32nd Avenue N.E. to 33rd Avenue N.E. ; Skycroft Drive <br /> 28 from 32nd Avenue N.E. to 33rd Avenue N.E. ; 31st Avenue N.E. <br /> 29 from Rankin Road to Silver Lake Road; Rankin Road from 32nd <br /> 30 Avenue N.E. to 33rd Avenue N.E. ; and 32nd Avenue N.E. from <br /> 31 Croft Drive to Rankin Road. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 Mr. Anderson said during the water main installation only <br /> 34 one half of the pavement at a time will be removed to allow <br /> 35 access to homes during the process . A higher curb will also <br /> 36 replace the current one which acts as a barrier to keep <br /> 37 traffic within the roadway and assists in plowing. The 1994 <br /> 38 proposed improvements will begin May 15 and end in early <br /> 39 August . <br /> 40 <br /> 41 Larry Hamer, Public Works Director, said NSP will be <br /> 42 replacing all of the gas mains and he is working with NSP to <br />
