Inc. in the amount of$990.00 for professional services rendered for the period 5 ending October 31, 1996 for the City of St. Anthony Comprehensive Plan. 6 B. Dorsey& Whitney in the amount of$993.58 for legal services rendered through October 7 31, 1996. 8 C. Foster, Ojile. Wentzell & Brever in the amount of$2,600.00 for professional services 9 rendered for the month of December, 1996. 10 D. 6 pages of Verified Claims as presented by the Finance Director. 11 12 Motion carried unanimously. 13 VIII. REPORTS. 14 A. Councilmembers. 15 Councilmember Enrooth reported his attendance at the National League of Cities Meeting in San 16 Antonio, Texas. Alvin Tofler, author of the book entitled Third Wave, was the kick off speaker 17 at the meeting. Enrooth suggested all Councilmembers read his book. Enrooth reported a large portion of the meeting was focused on the information age and Internet with '/z day spent on web • 9 page sites, city links and interlink connections. He stated it was a very informative meeting. 20 Councilmember Marks reported the St. Anthony Orchestra will be performing Friday, December 21 20, 1996 at Apache Plaza. 22 Marks noted there is still a problem with the sidewalks being plowed on the 37th Avenue bridge. 23 He stated he had contacted the engineer in charge at Ramsey County but noted he had received a 24 report that there was a problem again tonight. Marks stated he hoped this issue could be resolved 25 soon. 26 Marks reported he received a letter from a brass band in Salo, Finland who would like to visit St. 27 .Anthony. They are anticipating 25 people will come along with some politicians. The Sister 28 City Committee will begin to organize the visit and work to determine how the brass band would 29 like to handle their concerts. 30 Councilmember Wagner noted there will be free sleigh rides Friday, December 20, 1996 from 31 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the St. Anthony Shopping Center. 32 Wagner reported the coordinator that Healthy Community/Healthy Youth had hoped to hire is 33 not available. The Committee is now working on an alternate plan to hire someone with less '14 experience who could work with the coordinator they had wanted to hire on a minimal basis. • i The process is moving forward.
