City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> December 17, 1997 <br /> Page 3 <br /> 1 VII. REPORTS. <br /> 2 A. Councilmembers. <br /> 3 Faust reported that the meeting with Senator Marty and Representative McGuire was <br /> 4 productive. He noted that Senator Marty and Representative McGuire complimented the <br /> 5 document provided by WSB, a product of the Task Force. He was encouraged by the <br /> 6 meeting and felt the City will be able to move forward. There is a lot of work to be done but <br /> 7 the City is on the right course. <br /> 8 Mayor Ranallo noted he, the City Manager and Task Force members may all be called on to <br /> 9 testify before the legislature. He stated this is why the City will have the meeting with their <br /> 10 representatives and inform them of the situation. <br /> 11 Marks reported he serves as the City representative to the Civic Orchestra Board of Directors <br /> 12 and was recently appointed as the Chairperson of that organization. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 B. Manor. . <br /> 15 1. Presentation of Appreciation Plagues to Outgoing Councilmembers. <br /> 16 Mayor Ranallo complimented and thanked both Mrs. Barb Enrooth and Mrs. Audrey Wagner <br /> 17 for the amount of time that they had shared their husbands with the City of St. Anthony. <br /> 18 Mayor Ranallo noted a letter received by the City of St. Anthony from the Middle Mississippi <br /> 19 River Watershed Management Organization stating that Councilmember Enrooth has played a <br /> 20 vital role in the development of that process. The letter commended Enrooth and asked that <br /> 21 he continue to serve on that Organization as a representative of the City of St. Anthony until <br /> 22 his term expires. <br /> 23 Mayor Ranallo presented Councilmember Enrooth with a Plaque of Appreciation for his <br /> 24 twenty years of dedicated service and inspiring leadership as a Planning Commissioner and <br /> 25 City Councilmember to the City of St. Anthony. <br /> 26 Mayor Ranallo presented Councilmember Wagner with a Plaque of Appreciation for his <br /> 27 sixteen years of dedicated service and inspiring leadership as Planning Commissioner and City <br /> 28 Councilmember to the City of St. Anthony. <br /> 29 Mayor Ranallo thanked both Councilmembers and expressed appreciation for the work they <br /> 30 had done over the years. <br /> 31 Councilmember Wagner stated it had been an enjoyable experience working with the City. <br /> 32 He will miss working with the Council and City Staff. He expressed appreciation to his wife <br /> 33 for allowing him the time to serve on the Council. He stated he would leave the City Council <br /> 34 with the challenge to maintain the quality and level of service in the City and to have it <br /> 35 continue at a reasonable tax rate. <br />
