City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> September 22, 1998 <br /> Page 9 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 Mr. Mornson stated the Web Page Committee has established a 75-page web site and they are <br /> 3 attempting to'cut down the size. He added many cities have web sites of 100 pages or more. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 Cavanaugh asked whether the City staff have e-mail capability. Mr. Mornson confirmed e-mail <br /> 6 has been made available for City staff, adding he would notify the Council of available training <br /> 7 which will be held in October. <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Mr. Mornson stated the School Board was meeting that evening to discuss the City's request for <br /> 10 permission to use the area near the football field for a holding pond. He added the issue would <br /> 11 hopefully be resolved at that meeting. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Cavanaugh asked for the status of the Harding Neighborhood meeting. Mr. Mornson stated the <br /> 14 meeting will be held September 23. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 Cavanaugh asked for clarification of the City's policy for setback of political signs in front yards. <br /> 17 Mr. Mornson stated the City's ordinance requires a 15 foot setback. Cavanaugh stated many <br /> 18 residents do not comply with this requirement, and the ordinance should be more explicit. Mr. <br /> 19 Mornson stated many residents complained that 15 feet is too close to their home. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Cavanaugh stated he has seen expired license tabs on numerous vehicles throughout the City. Mr. <br /> 22 Mornson agreed to bring this issue to the Police Department. <br /> 23 <br /> 24 Cavanaugh asked whether the City had solved a recent computer problem which resulted in the <br /> 25 inability to obtain crime reports. Mr. Mornson confirmed the problem had been rectified. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Cavanaugh asked for the status of the liquor report for August which had not yet been released. <br /> 28 Mr. Mornson stated the report was due out this week. <br /> 29 I <br /> 30 Cavanaugh asked whether any changes had been made to the draft 1999 budget. Mr. Mornson <br /> 31 confirmed the intergovernmental revenues section had been itemized. <br /> 32 VIM PUBLIC HEARINGS-None. <br /> 33 IX. NEW BUSINESS. <br /> 34 A. Proposed election judge list for November 3, 1998 General Election. <br /> 35 Motion by Marks, second by Cavanaugh to approve the Election Judge List for November 3 <br /> 36 General Election, as submitted by the City Clerk. <br /> 37 Motion carried unanimously. <br />
