Planning Commission Meeting Minutes February 17, 2004 Page 7 1 Commissioner Young noted the monument sign and asked if it is on the site plan. Mr. Knapp 2 stated that it is not included at this time adding that the sign would be included for the public 3 hearing. 4 5 City Manager Mornson asked if he had brought any pictures of other stores. Mr. Knapp stated 6 that he did not have any pictures at this time. 7 8 Commissioner Jensen asked if the building would be larger or smaller than the current store. Mr. 9 Knapp stated that this would probably be smaller square footage wise and reviewed with the 10 Commission. 11 12 IX. PUBLIC INPUT. 13 14 None. 15 16 X. ANNOUNCEMENTS. 21 22 City Manger Mornson stated that they are in the middle of the planning process for the Bulldozer 23 Bash for the Apache Redevelopment Project. He stated that the bash would be held on March 24 20, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Apache Plaza. He indicated that there would be a 25 wonderful program, scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. that would include speeches from the 26 Mayor and the Developer. He stated that a group of actors would also present a 20-minute skit 27 on the history of Apache Plaza adding that several of the school organizations, including the 28 choir,jazz band and orchestra would also be involved. He stated that they would also have a 29 silent auction with proceeds going towards school and community programs. He stated that they 30 are anticipating at least 1000 people would probably attend that evening noting that the City 31 would be sending out approximately 200 invitations. He indicated that they plan to make this a 32 very large Community Event. 33 34 City Manager Mornson noted that April 20`h is the scheduled date for the next Planning 35 Commission meeting.' He stated that in addition to their regular meeting a joint meeting with 36 City Council has been scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. He explained that the Mayor and City 37 Council members would present their current list of goals and discuss any issues that would be 38 addressed in the coming year. 39 40 City Manager Mornson stated that Sue Hall would be back on April 12, 2004. 41 42 XII. ADJOURNMENT 43 44 Motion by Vice Chair Hanson, second by Commissioner Gray, to adjourn the meeting at 8:30 45 p.m.
