ANTHONY 1 <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 2 <br />JANUARY 26, 2016 3 <br /> 4 <br />CALL TO ORDER. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 7 <br /> 8 <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 11 <br /> 12 <br />Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Brever, Jenson and Stille 13 <br />Absent: Councilmember Gray 14 <br />Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, City Engineer Todd Hubmer, Planning Commission Chair 15 <br />Jim Gondorchin, Parks Commission Chair Scott Bentz and Kristen Seaman, 16 <br />GreenCorp Member 17 <br /> 18 <br />CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 19 <br />ITEMS. 20 <br /> 21 <br />I. APPROVAL OF THE JANUARY 26, 2016, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 22 <br /> 23 <br />Motion by Councilmember Brever, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City 24 <br />Council Meeting Agenda of January 26, 2016. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Motion carried 4-0. 27 <br /> 28 <br />II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. 29 <br /> 30 <br />A. Presentation of Northeast Youth and Family Services, President & CEO, Jerry Hromatka 31 <br />Presenting 32 <br /> 33 <br />Mr. Hromatka provided the annual update on Northeast Youth and Family Services. The primary 34 <br />population served is 5-21 year olds with Mental Health, Youth Development and Day Treatment 35 <br />services. The majority of their funding comes from fees. 70-75% of funds go for salaries and 36 <br />benefits for staff. Mr. Hromatka reviewed the NYFS Programs offered. The provide services are 37 <br />in 20 school buildings and 2 clinics as well as some in-home care. There are 15 municipalities 38 <br />supporting NYFS. St. Anthony has supported NYFS for 40 years. Mr. Hromatka reviewed the 39 <br />2014-2015 Service Summary, Current Community Trends, and NYFS Trends. NYFS is working 40 <br />hard to enhance their fundraising culture. This year is the 40th Anniversary of NYFS. There will 41 <br />be a Mayors Challenge Golf Tournament Keller Golf Course on June 13, 2016. Mr. Hromatka 42 <br />reviewed the NYFS Partnerships in Communities, School Districts, and Collaborations. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Councilmember Stille stated he is amazed with what NYFS does for the communities and 45 <br />surprised at the need for mental health support in the community. 46 <br /> 47 <br />Mayor Faust stated it is important to keep a close tie with the people NYFS is serving.
