ANTHONY <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />JANUARY 26, 2016 <br />4 <br />5 CALL TO ORDER. <br />6 <br />7 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />9 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />12 <br />13 Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Brever, Jenson and Stille <br />14 Absent: Councilmember Gray <br />15 Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, City Engineer Todd Hubmer, Planning Commission Chair <br />16 Jim Gondorchin, Parks Commission Chair Scott Bentz and Kristen Seaman, <br />17 GreenCorp Member <br />18 <br />19 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING <br />20 ITEMS. <br />21 <br />22 I. APPROVAL OF THE JANUARY 26, 2016, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />23 <br />24 Motion by Councilmember Brever, seconded by Councilmember Jenson to approve the City <br />25 Council Meeting Agenda of January 26, 2016. <br />26 <br />27 Motion carried 4 -0. <br />28 <br />29 11. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />30 <br />31 A. Presentation of Northeast Youth and Family Services President & CEO Jerry Hromatka <br />32 Presenting <br />33 <br />34 Mr. Hromatka provided the annual update on Northeast Youth and Family Services. The primary <br />35 population served is 5 -21 year olds with Mental Health, Youth Development and Day Treatment <br />36 services. The majority of their funding comes from fees. 70 -75% of funds go for salaries and <br />37 benefits for staff. Mr. Hromatka reviewed the NYFS Programs offered. The provide services are <br />38 in 20 school buildings and 2 clinics as well as some in -home care. There are 15 municipalities <br />39 supporting NYFS. St. Anthony has supported NYFS for 40 years. Mr. Hromatka reviewed the <br />40 2014 -2015 Service Summary, Current Community Trends, and NYFS Trends. NYFS is working <br />41 hard to enhance their fundraising culture. This year is the 401' Anniversary of NYFS. There will <br />42 be a Mayors Challenge Golf Tournament Keller Golf Course on June 13, 2016. Mr. Hromatka <br />43 reviewed the NYFS Partnerships in Communities, School Districts, and Collaborations. <br />44 <br />45 Councilmember Stille stated he is amazed with what NYFS does for the communities and <br />46 surprised at the need for mental health support in the community. <br />47 <br />48 Mayor Faust stated it is important to keep a close tie with the people NYFS is serving.
