City Manager Casey reviewed this past summer the City of St. Anthony along with the other 1 <br />municipalities in Ramsey County approved a resolution to proceed with the Hart Verity voting 2 <br />system. Ramsey County has completed negotiations with Hart Intercivic regarding the Hart 3 <br />Verity voting system and has created the Joint Powers Agreement. The new voting equipment 4 <br />will be used starting at the State Primary August 9, 2016. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Councilmember Stille mentioned this is a Joint Powers Agreement with Arden Hills, Falcon 7 <br />Heights, Gem Lake, Lauderdale, Little Canada, Maplewood, Mounds View, New Brighton, 8 <br />North Oaks, North St. Paul, Roseville, St. Paul, Shoreview, Vadnais Heights, and White Bear 9 <br />Lake, White Bear Township, along with St. Anthony. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Brever, to approve Resolution 12 <br />16-023; a Resolution authorizing Joint Powers Agreement for New Voting System Acquisition 13 <br />and Operation. 14 <br /> 15 <br />Motion carried 4-0 16 <br /> 17 <br />F. St. Anthony Administration Department Annual Report 18 <br /> 19 <br />City Manager Casey provided a Power Point presentation summarizing the Administration 20 <br />Department Annual Report for 2015. Mr. Casey noted there are 58 full-time positions, 51 part-21 <br />time positions, 10 public works seasonal and 12 police reserves (unpaid) employees. Mr. Casey 22 <br />provided a review of the 2015 meetings. The highlighted actions were reviewed. Mr. Casey 23 <br />noted 9 new businesses came to St. Anthony in 2015. The entire report is available on the City’s 24 <br />website www.ci.saint-anthony.mn.us and copies are also available at City Hall. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Councilmember Brever stated this is a wonderful detailed report and thanked Mr. Casey. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Councilmember Stille stated this is an outstanding report and it encapsulates the main things that 29 <br />the Council and Administration have done. 30 <br /> 31 <br />Councilmember Gray echoed the same thanks to Mr. Casey and the City Staff. 32 <br /> 33 <br />Mayor Pro Tem Jenson stated the report was very informative. 34 <br /> 35 <br />VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. 36 <br /> 37 <br />City Manager Mark Casey reported two weeks ago the Let’s Play Hockey Foundation brought 25 38 <br />children who hadn’t skated before to Central Park Rink. They came to the Police and Fire 39 <br />Departments to see if they could enlist any help and the Departments provided help to the youth. 40 <br /> 41 <br />Councilmember Stille stated on February 3 he attended the St. Anthony Community Services 42 <br />Advisory Board at which Councilmember Brever spoke. 43 <br /> 44 <br />Councilmember Gray stated on January 30 he attended the work session with the North 45 <br />Suburban Communications Commission and North Suburban Access Corporation to review the 46 <br />planning process for this year as well as goal setting. 47 <br /> 48 <br />4
