Resolution 16-022 a Resolution Approving the City of St. Anthony’s 2016 Pay Equity 25 <br />Implementation Report 26 <br /> 27 <br />City Manager Casey reviewed the 1984 Local Government Pay Equity Act (Minnesota Statutes 28 <br />471.991 to 471.999) requires that the City of St. Anthony file a pay equity report with the State 29 <br />of Minnesota. The law was instituted to eliminate sex-based wage inequities in compensation 30 <br />and benefits for local governments. Per the Local Government Pay Equity Act, the City of St. 31 <br />Anthony is required to submit a report to the State of Minnesota every three years. The 2016 32 <br />report for the 2015 calendar year was submitted January 28, 2016, prior to the deadline of 33 <br />January 31, 2016. After calculating the City’s pay equity report for 2015, the City of St. Anthony 34 <br />is confident that the City will be in compliance with the State of Minnesota pay equity mandate 35 <br />for the 2015 calendar year. The City will be notified formally by the State of Minnesota 36 <br />regarding compliance later on this year after they have had an opportunity to review this 37 <br />information. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Motion by Councilmember Brever, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve Resolution 40 <br />16-022; a Resolution approving the City of St. Anthony’s 2015 Pay Equity Implementation 41 <br />Report. 42 <br /> 43 <br />Motion carried 4-0 44 <br /> 45 <br />E.
