Resolution 16 -022 a Resolution Approving the he City of St. Anthony's 2016 Pay Equity 26 Implementation Report 27 28 City Manager Casey reviewed the 1984 Local Government Pay Equity Act (Minnesota Statutes 29 471.991 to 471.999) requires that the City of St. Anthony file a pay equity report with the State 30 of Minnesota. The law was instituted to eliminate sex -based wage inequities in compensation 31 and benefits for local governments. Per the Local Government Pay Equity Act, the City of St. 32 Anthony is required to submit a report to the State of Minnesota every three years. The 2016 33 report for the 2015 calendar year was submitted January 28, 2016, prior to the deadline of 34 January 31, 2016. After calculating the City's pay equity report for 2015, the City of St. Anthony 35 is confident that the City will be in compliance with the State of Minnesota pay equity mandate 36 for the 2015 calendar year. The City will be notified formally by the State of Minnesota 37 regarding compliance later on this year after they have had an opportunity to review this 38 information. 39 40 Motion by Councilmember Brever, seconded by Councilmember Gray, to approve Resolution 41 16 -022; a Resolution approving the City of St. Anthony's 2015 Pay Equity Implementation 42 Report. 43 44 Motion carried 4 -0 45 46 E.
