COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> July 12, 1966 <br /> The regular meeting of the Village Council of St. Anthony was called to order <br /> by the Mayor at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on Tuesday, July 12, 1966. <br /> The following were present at roll callt <br /> O'Connor, Dougherty, Springer, Bailey, Sorenson <br /> Absent: <br /> None <br /> Also Present: <br /> Village Attorney: Raymond A. Haik <br /> Village Engineer: DeWayne Olson <br /> Supt. Public Works: Norbert Maher <br /> Village Manager: John Printon <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Councilman Springer it was <br /> • moved that the minutes of the adjourned meeting of the Board of Review of <br /> June 28, 1966 be approved as submitted. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Dougherty seconded by Councilman Bailey it was moved <br /> that the minutes of the meeting of June 28, 1966 be approved as submitted. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Park and Recreation Board Chairman, Ev Hamilton presented their minutes of <br /> the Park Board meeting of July 7, 1966. <br /> Mr. Hamilton to be notified when meeting arranged with N.S.P. to discuss park <br /> lighting plan. It was reported that some conflicts exist between the school <br /> summer program and the recreation program. Mr . Hamilton to discuss with <br /> school board. It was reported that the Recreation Board is studying building <br /> pians for the proposed Central Park recreation building. Recommendations were <br /> made to the Council regarding the drafting of a boulevard tree ordinance. The <br /> Village Attorney was directed to prepare a preliminary draft for Council con- <br /> sideration. The Board reports that they have exhausted their source of Feder- <br /> al assistance programs brochures and find that none apply to Municipal parks <br /> as such. <br /> Park Planners, Brauer and Associates, estimate #1, partial payment Northern <br /> Contracting Company, was received in the amount of $10,330.65. After discuss- <br /> ion in which the Village Manager appraised the Council of the facts that a <br /> fault exists in the newly constructed wading pool and that five radial expan- <br /> sion cracks exist in the pool deck. It was moved by Mayor O'Connor, seconded <br /> by Councilman Sorenson that twenty five (25) percent of the statement as pres- <br /> ented by Breuer and Associates be withheld pending a determination of the <br /> extent of the pool fault and deck expansion cracks. <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
