'r VILLAGE OF ST, ANTHONY COUNCIL MINUTES August 9, 1966 The regular meeting of the Village Council of St. Anthony was called to order by the Mayor at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on Tuesday, August 9, 1966. The following were present at roll call : O'Connor, Dougherty, Bailey, Sorenson Absent: Springer Also Present: Raymond Haik, Village Attorney DeWayne Olson, Village Engineer Norbert Maher, Supt. Public Works John Printon, Village Manager Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Councilman Bailey, it was moved that the Minutes of the regular meeting of July 26, 1966 be approved as sub- mitted. Motion Carried. Mr. Eagle, member Park & Recreation Board, reviewed the minutes of the Board's meeting of August 4, 1966. The Board made the following recommendations: That the summer director be paid for a ten week period to cover administrative and organizational time spent prior to 0esummer program, That a winter recreation director be hired as soon as possible, a That a stop sign to control vehicular traffic be installed at 29th and Roselle Drive and also that one be considered on Kenzie Terrace. The Council discussed at length with Mr. Brauer, Park Consultant, the approval of the newly constructed wading pool. Mr. Brauer recommended that the Village retain $2500.00 from the wading pool contract because of a fault that developed in the bottom of the pool. May 15, 1967 was agreed as the date for final in- spection on the pool. In response to questions on the expansion cracks on the pool decks Mr. Brauer stated that he felt expansion joints were not necessary, and that if heaving occurred, the contractor would be required to cut out and replace the damaged portion of the deck. • The statement of Brauer and Associates Inc., in the amount of $255.00 for supervision and design of the wading pool was discussed. Upon motion by Councilman Dougherty sseconded by Councilman Sorenson it was moved that the statement be tabled to May 15, 1967. Motion Carried.
