'r <br /> VILLAGE OF ST, ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> August 9, 1966 <br /> The regular meeting of the Village Council of St. Anthony was called to order <br /> by the Mayor at 8:00 o'clock P.M. on Tuesday, August 9, 1966. <br /> The following were present at roll call : <br /> O'Connor, Dougherty, Bailey, Sorenson <br /> Absent: <br /> Springer <br /> Also Present: <br /> Raymond Haik, Village Attorney <br /> DeWayne Olson, Village Engineer <br /> Norbert Maher, Supt. Public Works <br /> John Printon, Village Manager <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Councilman Bailey, it was moved <br /> that the Minutes of the regular meeting of July 26, 1966 be approved as sub- <br /> mitted. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Mr. Eagle, member Park & Recreation Board, reviewed the minutes of the Board's <br /> meeting of August 4, 1966. The Board made the following recommendations: <br /> That the summer director be paid for a ten week period to cover administrative <br /> and organizational time spent prior to 0esummer program, <br /> That a winter recreation director be hired as soon as possible, <br /> a <br /> That a stop sign to control vehicular traffic be installed at 29th and Roselle <br /> Drive and also that one be considered on Kenzie Terrace. <br /> The Council discussed at length with Mr. Brauer, Park Consultant, the approval <br /> of the newly constructed wading pool. Mr. Brauer recommended that the Village <br /> retain $2500.00 from the wading pool contract because of a fault that developed <br /> in the bottom of the pool. May 15, 1967 was agreed as the date for final in- <br /> spection on the pool. In response to questions on the expansion cracks on the <br /> pool decks Mr. Brauer stated that he felt expansion joints were not necessary, <br /> and that if heaving occurred, the contractor would be required to cut out and <br /> replace the damaged portion of the deck. <br /> • The statement of Brauer and Associates Inc., in the amount of $255.00 for <br /> supervision and design of the wading pool was discussed. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Dougherty sseconded by Councilman Sorenson it was <br /> moved that the statement be tabled to May 15, 1967. Motion Carried. <br />
