-3- The 3-The matter of the adoption of the 1967 Budget was discussed at length. Councilman Springer proposed the addition of a one mill levy to provide funds for the building of a type of recreation building as recommended by the Park and Recreation Board. Other members of the Council expressed the opinion that $25.00 per sq. ft. was an excessive cost to pay for a recreation building. There being no further discussion, Councilman Sorenson introduced Resolution No. 66-070 and moved that it be adopted. RESOLUTION N0, 66-070 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1967 BUDGET The resolution was duly seconded by Mayor O'Connor. Voting on the resolution: Aye: O'Connor, Dougherty, Bailey, Sorenson Nay: Springer Resolution declared adopted. The claim of Robert Anderson in the amount of $97.60 was discussed. Upon motion by Councilman Bailey seconded by Councilman Dougherty it was moved that the claim of Robert Anderson in the amount of$97.60 for damage to shrub- bery on Lot 4, Block 4, Clark and Kings Garden Tracts be approved. Motion Carried. . Letter from Mr. Ron Ekstrom regarding sidewalks was received. Upon motion by Councilman Dougherty seconded by Councilman Sorenson it was moved that sewer service charges levied by the City of St. Paul and payable to the Village of Roseville, and ordered not paid by the Village Council be released in the amount of 1/3 of the total amount due as requested by the Village of Roseville. Motion Carried. Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Councilman Springer it was moved that the Minneapolis Gas Company's request for a street opening at Roosevelt Street and St. Anthony Boulevard be approved. Motion Carried. Upon motion by Councilman Sorenson seconded by Councilman Bailey it was moved that the architects statement for inspection and other services for the month of August in the amount of $380.15 be approved. Motion Carried. • Palmer Hermundslie to coordinate 5 year pedestrian award with St. Anthony High School Assembly program.
