• VILLAGE OF ST, ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> August 22, 196 ' <br /> The regular meting of the Village Council of St. Anthony was called to order <br /> by the Mayor at 8:00 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 1967. <br /> The following were present at roll call : <br /> O'Connor, Dougherty, Bailey <br /> Absent: Springer <br /> Councilman Dougherty moved and seconded by Councilman Bailey that the minutes <br /> of the meeting of August 8, 1967 be approved as submitted. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Upon motion by Councilman Bailey and seconded by Councilman Dougherty it was <br /> moved that Dr. Thomas J. Emond be appointed as Councilman ' to fill the vacancy <br /> created by the resignation of Richard K. Sorenson. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Dougherty, Bailey <br /> Nay: None <br /> Absent not voting: Springer <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Village Clerk, Jerry Kessel, administered the oath of office and Dr. Emond <br /> took his place on the Council. <br /> The Council discussed a replacement for Dr. Emond on the Planning Board. <br /> Councilman Dougherty moved and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that any appoint- <br /> ment to the Planning Board be tabled to the meeting of September 12, 1967. <br /> Motion Carried. <br /> Mr. Ken Solie appeased before the Council requesting certain licenses for the <br /> conducting of the J.C.'s September Fest. After considerable discussion out- <br /> lining procedural requirements of the licenses and permits including the <br /> providing of necessary police personnel, Mayor O'Connor moved and seconded <br /> by Councilman Dougherty that the fees for permits and licenses be waived <br /> for the J.C.'s September Febt and that the request for said licenses and <br /> permits as outlined in a letter from Mr. Ken Solie dated August 18, 1967 <br /> and listed as follows: Parade Permit, Parkgrounds Permit, Sound Truck Permit, <br /> Fireworks Permit, Bingo License, Food License, Off Sale Beer License, Temp- <br /> orary Sign Permit, and Dance Permit be approved. <br /> Motion Carried. <br />
