• VILLAGE OF ST, ANTHONY COUNCIL MINUTES August 22, 196 ' The regular meting of the Village Council of St. Anthony was called to order by the Mayor at 8:00 o'clock p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 1967. The following were present at roll call : O'Connor, Dougherty, Bailey Absent: Springer Councilman Dougherty moved and seconded by Councilman Bailey that the minutes of the meeting of August 8, 1967 be approved as submitted. Motion Carried. Upon motion by Councilman Bailey and seconded by Councilman Dougherty it was moved that Dr. Thomas J. Emond be appointed as Councilman ' to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Richard K. Sorenson. Voting on the motion: Aye: O'Connor, Dougherty, Bailey Nay: None Absent not voting: Springer Motion Carried. Village Clerk, Jerry Kessel, administered the oath of office and Dr. Emond took his place on the Council. The Council discussed a replacement for Dr. Emond on the Planning Board. Councilman Dougherty moved and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that any appoint- ment to the Planning Board be tabled to the meeting of September 12, 1967. Motion Carried. Mr. Ken Solie appeased before the Council requesting certain licenses for the conducting of the J.C.'s September Fest. After considerable discussion out- lining procedural requirements of the licenses and permits including the providing of necessary police personnel, Mayor O'Connor moved and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that the fees for permits and licenses be waived for the J.C.'s September Febt and that the request for said licenses and permits as outlined in a letter from Mr. Ken Solie dated August 18, 1967 and listed as follows: Parade Permit, Parkgrounds Permit, Sound Truck Permit, Fireworks Permit, Bingo License, Food License, Off Sale Beer License, Temp- orary Sign Permit, and Dance Permit be approved. Motion Carried.
