STREET IMPROVEMENT 1966-1 , MACALASTER DRIVE, WAS NEXT CONSIDERED. MR. <br /> • O.D. TINGUM REPRESENTING MAHLON SANDBERG PRESENTED A PETITION TO THE MAYOR <br /> REQUESTING THAT A PER LOT BASIS BE USED FOR ASSESSMENT PURPOSES RATHER <br /> THAN A FRONT FOOT BASIS. MR. TINGUM ARGUED THAT IN HIS OPINION THE <br /> MACALASTER IMPROVEMENT WAS SIMILAR TO THE ROOSEVELT COURT IMPROVEMENT <br /> AND SHOULD BE ASSESSED IN LIKE MANNER, THE MATTER WAS DISCUSSED AT LENGTH <br /> WHEREBY IT WAS POINTED OUT THAT THE WIDE VARIATIONS OF FRONT FOOTAGE ON <br /> ROOSEVELT COURT MADE IT MANDATORY THAT A PER UNIT COST BE USED WHEREAS ON <br /> MACALASTER DRIVE THE LOTS ARE GENERALLY OF A UNIFORM WIDTH. THERE BEING <br /> NO FURTHER DISCUSSION, THE MAYOR DECLARED THIS PORTION OF THE HEARING <br /> CLOSED. <br /> STORM SEWER PROJECT 1966-1 , 35TH AND STINSON BLVD. WAS NEXT CONSIDERED* <br /> THE VILLAGE ENGINEER OUTLINED THE AREA BENEFITTED BY THE IMPROVEMENT AND <br /> PRESENTED A BREAKDOWN OF COSTS TO BE ASSESSED. THERE BEING NO OBJECTION, <br /> THE MAYOR DECLARED THIS PORTION OF THE HEARING CLOSED* <br /> STORM SEWER PROJECT 1966-1 , NORTH AND SOUTH OF 37TH AVENUE N. E. WAS CON— <br /> SIDERED. THE VILLAGE ENGINEER REVIEWED THE STORM SEWER AREA, ITS RELATION— <br /> SHIP TO THE COLUMBIA HEIGHTS SYSTEM, AND EXPLAINED THE ASSESSMENT COSTS. <br /> SAMUEL HOKANSON, 3628 EDWARDS INQUIRED AS TO BOUNDARIES OF THE STORM SEWER <br /> DISTRICTS. HE WAS INFORMED THAT HIS PROPERTY WAS PART OF TWO DRAINAGE <br /> DISTRICTS AND WOULD BE ASSESSED FOR IMPROVEMENTS THAT AFFECTED EITHER <br /> OF THE DISTRICTS. THE VILLAGE ATTORNEY EXPLAINED THE ASSESSMENT PRO— <br /> CEEDURES USED IN DETERMINING BENEFITTED PROPERTIES.
