• VILLAGE OF ST, ANTHONY COUNCIL MINUTES October 10, 1967 The regular meeting of the Village Council of St. Anthony was called to order by the Mayor at 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 1101, 1967. The following were present at roll call : O'Connor, Dougherty, Bailey, Emond and Springer Also present: Raymond Haik, Village Attorney, who in the absence of Village Manager, John Printon, was also taking minutes recording the actions of the Council. Motion by Councilman Dougherty, seconded by Councilman Bailey that the minutes of the meeting of September 26, 1967 be approved as printed. Motion Carried. The Village Council reviewed the minutes of the Park and Recreation Advisory Committee and instructed the Village Manager to obtain copies of the report prepared by Howard Dahlgren for the area of the Village which includes the Salvation Army Camp and also to obtain copies of the Park Development Report prepared by Brauer and Associates for the Village including the Salvation Army • Camp and the area adjacent to the Village Holding Pond. The Manager was also instructed to obtain a copy of the latest zoning map of the Village of New Brighton and to discuss with New Brighton officials the information pertaining to contemplated zoning changes, if any, in the area adjazent to the Village of St. Anthony in the vicinity of the Village Holding Pond. The Mayor reviewed the material received requesting the Village to again participate in the Suburban Hennepin County Nursing District, following which a motion was made by Councilman Dougherty that Resolution No. 67-046, relating to the participation in the Suburban Hennepin County Nursing District, be adopted, which motion was seconded by Councilman Bailey. Voting on the Resolution: Aye: O'Connor, Dougherty, Bailey, Emond, Springer Nay: None The Resolution was declared adopted. The Council reviewed the September Sales Summary for the Municipal Liquor Store. and expressed their appreciation for the promptness of the report and were pleased with the report indicating a continued increase in the business act- ivity at the Liquor Stores. The Council discussed the notice indicating that the Labor Conciliators Offices • were petitioned to resolve the differences with the Locals 49, representing the maintenance workers, and Local 57, representing the police officers. The Manager was requested to determine whather the Village of St. Anthony was the only municipality in the Metropolitan Area which did not concur in the recom- mendation with respect to the extent of the wage increase to be given the Municipal Maintenance Workers.
