-3- <br /> Motion <br /> 3-Motion carried. <br /> A recommendation to create Fire Districts in the Commercial and Industrial zoned <br /> areas that would prohibit incineration was recommended by the Village Manager and <br /> Director of Public Safety. The Village Council directed a draft be prepared for <br /> consideration. <br /> Motion by Councilman Springer and seconded by Councilman Emond that the Mayor and <br /> Village Clerk be authorized to approve -the final draft of the Lowell Plat on <br /> behalf of the Village. <br /> Motion by Councilman Springer and seconded by Councilman Emond that final approval <br /> be given the Lowell Plat as corrected and that the Mayor and Village Clerk be <br /> authorized to sign the plat on behalf of the Village. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mayor O'Connor moved and seconded by Councilman Emond that final approval be <br /> given the Huebner Plat and that the Mayor and Village Clerk be authorized to <br /> sign the plat on behalf of the Village. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Representatives of St. Anthony Firestone and Phillips Petroleum Company were <br /> present to discuss their sign that was removed by Hennepin County due to the <br /> Kenzie Terrace street improvement. After considerable discussion, Mayor O'Connor <br /> moved and seconded by Councilman Springer that the St. Anthony Firestone be allow- <br /> ed to replace a Phillips Petroleum sign that was removed for the construction of <br /> Kenzie Terrace at the request of the Hennepin County RAA agent. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> A further request was made by Phillips Petroleum Company to replace the shell in- <br /> signia portion of the sign -:with a plastic faced shield with internal lighting <br /> as apposed to the external lights of the old sign. After discussion Mayor O'Connor <br /> moved and seconded by Councilman Emond that Phillips Petroleum Company be allowed <br /> to replace the steel insignia with external lighting with a plastic insignia <br /> with interior lighting, said insignia to be of same size and height of former sign. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> A petition was received from the Towle Mortgage Company for the vacation of <br /> Coolidge Street from Kenzie Terrace South to the former St. Anthony State Bank <br /> Building. The matter was referred to the Planning Board for recommendation. <br /> Mr. Gordon Hedlund reviewed a town house development proposed for his property <br /> in Ramsey County. The Council restated its position on density and took no actio <br /> to set up a zoning hearing. <br /> Motion by Councilman Springer and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that the statement <br /> of the Bond Attorney in the amount of $1,170.00 for the legal opinion of the <br /> $960,000, 1968 improvement bonds, be approved for payment. <br /> Motion carried. <br />
