-3- <br /> Motion <br /> 3-Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Emond that the summary of bids <br /> as presented by Hennepin County, pursuant to a joint purchase agreement, awarding <br /> the bid for the purchase of one 1969 Plymouth Police Special in the amount of <br /> $2,323.48 per specifications to Brookdale Plymouth, be approved. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> A resolution sustaining the Liquor Fair Trade Low with provisions for enforcement <br /> was ordered prepared by the Village Attorney for distribution to the Interim Liquor <br /> Commission and local officials. <br /> The November Liquor Sales report and the 3rd quarter liquor financial statement <br /> were received and after review ordered filed. <br /> After discussion, Councilman Emond moved and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that the <br /> installation of a storm drain tile extension in Silver Point Park, as proposed <br /> by the Village engineer, be approved. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Springer, Crouse, Emond. <br /> Nay: Dougherty. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Springer seconded by Councilman Crouse that a donation of <br /> $50.00 be approved as a contribution to the Como Park Zoo Committee, subject to <br /> the approval of the Village attorney. <br /> • Motion carried. <br /> Councilman Emond introduced Resolution No. 68-064 and moved its adoption. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 68-064 <br /> A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CREATION <br /> OF A METROPOLITAN ZOO <br /> The resolution was duly seconded by Mayor O'Connor. <br /> Voting on the resolution: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Springer, Emond. <br /> Nay: Dougherty, Crouse. <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> Dallis Gates presented a resume of data concerning the Volunteer Fire Department. <br /> He asked for closer communications between the Council and Fire Department. <br /> A proposed amendment to the Sign Ordinance was received by the Council . Motion <br /> by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Mayor O 'Connor that further discussion on <br /> the amendment be tabled to December 23, 1968. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The meeting was recessed from 9:40 to 9:50 P.M. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Mayor O'Connor that a Xmas tree sales <br /> permit be granted to the St. Anthony D. X. Station. <br /> • Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Gingold, architect, appeared regarding a proposed 54 unit apartment complex at <br /> 37th Avenue N. E. and Chandler Drive. A report from the Director of Public Safety <br /> was reviewed by the Council. After discussion, Mr. Gingold was informed that the <br /> structure, as presently proposed, would have to provide for enclosed stairwells <br /> as well as fire stand pipes on each floor, if a variance on the 215 sto¢r..y .limitation <br /> was to be considered.
