VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> • COUNCIL MINUTES <br /> December 23, 1968 <br /> The special meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 10:00 o'clock A. M. <br /> The following were present at roll call : <br /> O ' Connor, Dougherty, Crouse. <br /> Absent: Springer, Emond. <br /> Also Present : Village Attorney, Raymond Haik <br /> Village Manager, John Printon <br /> A letter received by the St. Anthony Volunteer Fire Department dated December 16, <br /> 1968 was reviewed by the Village Council. <br /> The Village Manager recommended that in view of the announced resignation by the <br /> Fire Department, that consideration be given to entering into a contract to <br /> provide proper fire protection for St. Anthony residents by the full time Minneapolis <br /> Fire Department. <br /> The contract was reviewed by the Council and Village Attorney. After discussion, <br /> Councilman Crouse moved and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that the Mayor and <br /> Village Manager be authorized to enter into contract with the City of Minneapolis <br /> for the providing of fire protection to St. Anthony Village. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> It was noted that Councilman Emond and Councilman Springer although not able to <br /> attend the meeting concurred in the above action by the Council. <br /> Councilman Crouse moved and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that the meeting be <br /> adjourned. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> �4�00t� <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> 7411-a-g clerk <br /> • <br /> Vi ge Manager <br />
