-2- <br /> Motion <br /> 2-Motion by Councilman Emond, seconded by Councilman Crouse, that Ordinance 1969-8 <br /> be approved for the third and final reading. <br /> ORDINANCE 1969-8 <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO VILLAGE <br /> EMPLOYEES, AMENDING SECTION 110.13, <br /> SUBDIVISION 1 AND 2 AND SECTION <br /> 110.18 OF THE 1968 CODE OF ORDINANCES. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Dougherty that Ordinance <br /> 1969-9 be approved for the third and final reading. <br /> ORDINANCE 1969-9 <br /> AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO LOAD LIMITS <br /> ON PUBLIC STREETS, AMENDING SECTION <br /> 140.01 OF THE 1968 CODE OF ORDINANCES. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Crouse, Emond, Dougherty. <br /> Nay: Levandowski. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Council reviewed the offer received from Robert E. Rylander, 5541-44th Ave- <br /> nue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota, 55417, pertaining to an aerial ladder fire <br /> truck, including equipment, which is presently in the ownership of the City of <br /> New Ulm. The proposal to the Council would deliver the equipment to the Village <br /> of St. Anthony when a new fire truck is delivered to the City of New Ulm, delivery <br /> of which is expected approximately September, 1969. A discussion ensued concern- <br /> ing the necessity for obtaining the equipment and its value in light of its age. <br /> Councilman Dougherty inquired as to the reason why the Public Safety Director was <br /> not present at the meeting to review the matter, particularly since he had request- <br /> ed that the Public Safety Director be present at the meeting. Motion by Council- <br /> man Dougherty, seconded by Councilman Levandowski , to table consideration of <br /> submission of a bid for the aerial fire truck. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: Levandowski , Dougherty. <br /> Nay: O'Connor, Emond, Crouse. <br /> Motion defeated. <br /> Motion by Mayor O'Connor, seconded by Councilman Emond, to authorize the Village <br /> • Manager to submit a bid for $4,000.00 for the fire truck. <br /> Voting on the motion: <br /> Aye: O'Connor, Emond, Crouse. <br /> Nay: Dougherty, Levandowski . <br />
