-3- Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Levandowski to table • indefinitely action on the Criminal Justice Information System, Steering Committee's application for grant. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Englund authorizing the Village Manager to purchase the Kustom Signal Radar System for $1 ,785.00, for purposes of crime prevention and law enforcemnt; and to take the money out of the General Fund Reserve and to apply for Federal Funding for 50% of the cost. Motion by Councilman Levandowski and seconded by Councilman Crouse to amend the motion not to apply for Federal Funding; but to pay for the entire cost of the radar out of our own funds. Voting on the amendment: Aye: Crouse, Levandowski Nay: Emond, Englund Amendment not carried. Voting on the motion: Aye : Crouse, Emond, Englund • Nay: Levandowski Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Emond to table action on the Storm Sewer Hwy 8 costs and directing the Village Manager to get a report on this from the Village Engineer within two weeks. Motion carried. Mayor Pro Teri Emond declared a ten minute recess. The meeting was reconvened at 9:52 P.M. All present who answered opening roll call . Motion by Mayor Pro Tem Emond and seconded by Councilman Crouse directing the Village Manager to write a letter to Mr. Charles Herman denying his request for a rock wall on both sides of the driveway; but that we would consider resodding the area. Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Levandowski directing the Village Manager to write a letter to Mrs. D.H. Cullen, 2836 Roosevelt St. N.E. and Mrs. E.L. Sitzman, 2837 Stinson Blvd. N.E., denying their request for black- topping of the strip of land along their lots and stipulating the Village's policy on this at this time. Motion carried.
