I1 <br /> VILLAGE OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> iCOUNCIL MINUTES <br /> August 11, 1970 <br /> The meeting was called to order by Mayor Miedtke at 8:00 o'clock P.M. <br /> The following were present at roll call : Crouse, Emond, Miedtke, Levandowski, <br /> Englund. <br /> Absent: None <br /> Also present: Village Attorney, Larry Vickrey <br /> Village Manager, John R. Printon <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Englund to approve the <br /> minutes of the July 28, 1970 meeting as presented. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The minutes of the Human Relations Advisory Committee were discussed. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crov&se and seconded by Councilman Levandowski that we request <br /> the Human Relations Advisory Committee to submit more information in regard to <br /> their budget request, stating exactly what the money is to be used for. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Councilman Curt Englund appointed Mrs. Carolyn Olson of 3628 Roosevelt Street N.E. <br /> to the Human Relations Advisory Committee. <br /> Councilman Crouse introduced Resolution 70-024 and moved its adoption. <br /> RESOLUTION 70-024 <br /> RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE APPORTION- <br /> MENT OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR LOCAL <br /> IMPROVEMENTS <br /> The resolution was duly seconded by Councilman Emond. <br /> Voting on the resolution: <br /> Aye: Crouse, Emond, Miedtke, Levandowski, Englund <br /> Nay: None <br /> Resolution declared adopted. <br /> Dr. Carr appeared in behalf of the Salvation Army requesting assistance from the <br /> Village in applying for federal funds for improvements of water and sewerage <br /> connections on their property. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Englund that we request the <br /> Village Attorney and the Village Manager to draw up an agreement with the Salva- <br /> tion Army for land use by the Village Recreation Department based on their ten <br /> year plan of development of that area; to be used as a basis for requesting federal <br />
