-3- Motion by Mayor Miedtke and seconded by Councilman Crouse to adopt Ordinance 1970-15 for the third reading. ORDINANCE 1970-15 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE SANIT- ARY STORAGE AND COLLECTION OF WASTE MATTER IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS There was considerable discussion on this proposed ordinance by some of the resi- dents present, as well as by a representative from one of the garbage haulers in the Village. Those present voiced opposition to the Ordinance as read. Voting on the motion: Ayes Crouse May: Emond, Miedtke, Levandowski, Englund Motion not carried. Motion by Councilman Emond and seconded by Councilman Levandowski to adopt Ordinance 1970-15. ORDINANCE 1970-15 AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO SEWER RENTAL • RATES, AMENDING SECTION 410.01 OF THE 1968 CODE OF ORDINANCES The Village Attorney read Ordinance 1970-15. There was some discussion and questions asked regarding this Ordinance by residents present as well as by the Council. Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Levandowski to table action on this Ordinance until the next meeting and to refer it back to the Village Man- ager for further study and for him to report back on it at the November 24th meet- ing. Motion carried. Merle Ourbahn appeared regarding a drainage problem in the vicinity of his home and other homes on 36th Avenue between Chelmsford and Highcrest. Motion by Councilman Englund and seconded by Councilman .Emond to direct the Village Engineer to institute a cost survey and prepare a feasibility report on this drainage problem. Motion carried. Henry Zeug, plumbing and heating inspector for the Village, appeared and discussed • the possibility of the Council adopting the State Plumbing Code. He stated that we have been following the State Code but that we have never adopted it. Action on this was tabled until the next meeting so that the Council would have a chance to study the Code. Mr. Zeug was directed to outline the principal enforcement provisions of the Code.
