Mayor Miedtke declared a ten minute recess at 9:30 P.M. The meeting was reconvened at 9:40 P.M. All present who answered opening roll call . Don Zebro of 4017 Penrod Lane appeared regarding his request for a 24 x19 foot addition to his garage which was denied at the last meeting. After discussion, motion by Councilman Englund and seconded by Councilman Levandowski to grant the request of Don Zebro for a permit to build a 24 x 19 foot addition to his garage. Motion carried. Mr. Dunphy appeared regarding Happy's Industrial replat. The surveyor represent- ing Mr. Dunphy explained in detail the combination of parcels making up the new plat. Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Emond to give preliminary approval to Happy's potato Chips Company's request for the replatting of Happy's Industrial 3 plat. Motion carried. • Motion by Councilman Englund and seconded by Councilman Levandowski to grant the request of Andrew Gawel at 2600 31st Avenue N.E. for variances and setback as outlined at the last meeting but without the restriction that a garage, if built, be attached to the house. Voting on the motion: Aye: Emond, Levandowski, Englund Nay: Crouse, Miedtke Motion carried. Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Emond to approve the statement of Layne of Minnesota Company in the amount of $1, 123.33 for pump motor repair. Motion carried. The Village Manager was directed to have the Village Engineer check into re- vamping the chlorination procedure for the water treatment plant. The Village Manager was authorized to discuss the street lighting proposal for St. Anthony Office Park with the developers of the project. . Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Emond that we do not pay the 1970 annual membership dues of $100.00 to the National Suburban League Ltd. Motion carried.
