-3- <br /> Aye: <br /> 3-Aye: Crouse, Emond, Miedtke, Levandowski, Englund <br /> Nay: None <br /> Motion as amended carried. <br /> The Village Attorney read Ordinance 1970-7 as amended. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Emond to table action on the <br /> ordinance for licenses and fees, etc. until the first meeting in February. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Village Manager was directed to have the heating, plumbing and electrical <br /> inspectors review their codes and get them to the Village Attorney for his review <br /> and approval. <br /> Motion by Councilman Englund and seconded by Mayor Miedtke to join the League of <br /> Minnesota Municipalities and the Metropolitan Section. <br /> Voting on the motions <br /> Ayes Emond, Miedtke, Englund <br /> • Nays Crouse, Levandowski <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mayor Miedtke declared a ten minute recess at 9:35 P.M. The meeting was reconvened <br /> at 9:45 P.M. All present who answered opening roll call. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Englund that the claim of <br /> P. Rhattacharyya for property damages sustained in the Village be referred to our <br /> insurance company as suggested by the Village Attorney and that the Legal Aid <br /> Clinic, who is representing Mr. Bhattacharyya, be informed of this action. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Village Manager was directed to send copies of our Snowmobile Ordinance to <br /> the surrounding communities of Roseville, New Brighton, Columbia Heights and <br /> Minneapolis. <br /> Mr. Leonard, Public Safety Director, reported on his suggestions and recommendations <br /> for further traffic controls and public safety measures in the Village. <br /> Motion by Councilman Crouse and seconded by Councilman Levandowski- directing the <br /> Village Manager to check into the cost of putting a traffic light at 37th Avenue <br /> N.E. and Foss Road because of the school crossing here. <br /> • Motion carried. <br /> The Village Manager was directed to check back into Council meeting minutes and <br /> see what action was taken as to parking signs for the 150 foot strip from 37th <br /> Avenue N.E. on the east side of Silver Lake Road. <br />
