Mr. Dulgar speculated if a calendar of events for the City could
not be included in the informational booklet put out by the League of Women Voters.
No action was taken.
The Council was unable to arrive at a date for a meeting with the representative
of the Springsted Company after Mr. Dulgar reported that Mr. Pulscher would be
unable to attend a lunch meeting the week of August 4-10 at which possible
methods of assessments for street improvements could be discussed. Mr. Dulgar
said that the soil borings findings had not yet been evaluated by the City Engin-
eer but also told the Council that improvements being made by Minneapolis on
Stinson Boulevard would result in 29th Avenue N.E. being used as a detour to
Johnson Street N.E. and other plans for redirection of traffic around the St.
Anthony Shopping Center might also increase traffic on 29th Avenue and might
affect the decision to upgrade 29th this year.
