CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br /> COUNCIL MUTES <br /> August 13, 1974 <br /> The meeting was called to order at 7:31 P.M. by Mayor Miedtke. <br /> The following were present at roll call: Sauer, Sundland, Stauffer, Miedtke. <br /> Also present: Larry VLckrey, City Attorney, Jim Fornell, Adm. Asst. <br /> Absent: Haik <br /> The Council discussed the Human Relations minutes of July 16, 1974 and the <br /> following motion was made: <br /> Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sauer to send a certificate <br /> of commendation to Reverend Spack thanking him for his fine service to the Human <br /> Relations Board. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The Council briefly discussed the drug use survey and the following motion was <br /> made: <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Sauer to commend Stephanie <br /> Subak for her diligent job on the drug use survey. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Human Relation Board members Berg and Subak inquired about the possibility of <br /> obtaining a drinking fountain in Centftl Park and were informed by Mayor Miedtke <br /> that vandalism is a problem but the request will be taken under consideration. <br /> Councilman Haik°s appointment to the Human Relations Board was tabled until her <br /> return. r <br /> ' The following corrections were made to the Council minutes of July 239 1974: <br /> Page 2, 1st sentence: Strike "Columbia Heights" and insert "New Brighton" <br /> Page 3, para. 4 from the bottom: Strike "less previous payments" <br /> Page 4, 3rd para. : To read "Donna Stauffer arrived from a meeting of the <br /> Metropolitan Significance Advisory Committee to the Metropolitan Council and <br /> said the City had been asked to appoint a delegate and an alternate delegate <br /> to represent the City at meetings of the Association of Metropolitan <br /> Municipalities". <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to approve the <br /> Council minutes of 7/23/74 as amended. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 0 <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to adopt Resolution <br /> #74-024. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 74-024 <br /> A RESOLU'T'ION REAPPORTIONING THE ASSESSMENTS ON <br /> THE HFKM ADDITION <br /> Motion carried. <br />
