-3- <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to approve <br /> payment of $6,000.00 to Electric Service Company in partial payment for the <br /> tennis court lighting project. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Stauffer, seconded by Councilman Sauer to approve payment <br /> of $7,765.00 to Constructive Design for services rendered on the Liquor Store <br /> No. 1 remodelling project. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to approve payment <br /> of $130.25 to Comstock & Davis for services rendered. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sundland, seconded by Councilman Stauffer to approve payment <br /> Of $1,300.00 to Northwestern Glass Company for the liquor lounge patio door. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Motion by Mayor Miedtke, seconded by Councilman Sundland to approve payment of <br /> $1,895.35 to the Dorsey law firm provided the bill on the Henkel replat is <br /> charged to them. <br /> • Motion carried. <br /> An application for payment to Henning Nelson Construction Company was added to <br /> the agenda. <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to approve payment of <br /> $24,160.00 to Henning Nelson Construction Company for remodelling work on <br /> Liquor Lounge No. 1, pending the City Manager's approval. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Councilman Sauer questioned the verified payment to the AAU Swim Club, feeling it <br /> contradicted Council policy on contributions to charitable, athletic or civic <br /> groups. After discussion the following motion was made: <br /> Motion by Councilman Sauer, seconded by Councilman Sundland to approve the <br /> verified claims. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Mayor Miedtke made two announcements. Representatives from the City were en- <br /> couraged to attend a mini-seminar on Downtown improvements. The Mayor also <br /> proposed that a representative of the City attend the National League of Cities <br /> Policy Leaders Seminar on Community Development in Chicago August 26-28,1974 <br /> and after discussion the following motion was made: <br /> 10 Motion by Mayor Miedtke, seconded by Councilman Sauer to fund up to $500.00 to <br /> send a city representative to the National League of Cities Policy Leaders <br /> Seminar on Community Development. <br />
